Derek serves as President and Private Wealth Advisor. He has been working in the investment and financial services industries for almost 20 years. Having come from a long line of small business owners, he has a passion for helping individuals identify opportunities to save money and accumulate assets over the long term. As co-owner and Private Wealth Advisor, his primary areas of expertise include:

Having worked through the Great Recession, Derek witnessed firsthand the risks associated with investing and the importance of developing a thorough financial plan coupled with a disciplined investment strategy. He enjoys listening and understanding each client’s unique situation and has found that through in-depth financial planning, there are almost always opportunities to help individuals simplify their lives, decrease risk, and increase their chances of a successful future.
Derek grew up in New England and graduated from Stonehill College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a Finance concentration. He later earned an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from Santa Clara University. He has previously passed his Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations.
Derek was a three-sport athlete in college – competing in soccer, golf, and track & field. He was fortunate to be honored as a three-time All-American — once as an NCAA track & field athlete, and twice as a high school soccer player and captain. Derek currently resides in Danville with his wife Anne and their three children. He enjoys all types of fitness, including watching and participating in most sports, particularly golf. He has competed in triathlons and plans to continue them in the future. He also loves traveling, movies, music, playing chess, and spending time with family and friends.
Derek is an active member in his church and the Knights of Columbus, a charitable group with a global reach. He remains involved with his kids’ school and sports, coaching various teams. He continues to give charitably to his community and, for many years, has been sponsoring impoverished children and orphans around the world.
